George William Fleckenstein

Died: August 30, 1952

Obit #1:
FLECKENSTEIN - August 30, George William Fleckenstein; husband of Grace A Fleckenstein and late of 1024 NE Woodlawn; father of George Harold and John Arthur Fleckenstein, Mrs. Ina Grace Koch, Lois Ellen Galvin, Mrs. Ruth Evvalyn Hooper, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Leudtke; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Member of Second Evangelical and Reformed church. Services Wed., Sept. 3, at 3 pm, at the Pearson Funeral church, NE Knott st at Union Ave. Friends invited. Interment Columbian cemetery.

2} George W. Fleckenstein. Services for George W. Fleckenstein, life-long Portland resident who died Saturday, will be held Wednesday at 3 pm at the Pearson Funeral church. Fleckenstein, a retired fruit grower, was 75. He was born in Portland March 19, 1877. The family home is at 1024 NE Woodlawn street. He was a member of the Second Evangelical and Reformed church. Surviving are his wife, Grace; sons George Harold and John Arthur Fleckenstein of Portland, and daughters, Mrs. Ina Grace Koch, Canby, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Leudke, Appleton, Wisc., and Mrs. Louise Ellen Galvin and Mrs. Euth K Hooper, Portland.

Obit #2:
3} Funeral services for George William Fleckensein, who died Saturday in a Portland hospital, will be Wednesday at 3 pm at the Pearson Funeral Church mortuary, wih Rev. Harvey T. Gooding officiating. Interment will be at Columbian cemetery. Mr. Fleckenstein resided at 1024 NE Woodlawn avenue. He was born March 19, 1877 and resided in the city all his life. He was a retired fruit grower and a member of the Second Evangelical and Reformed church. He is survived by the widow Mrs. Grace Almeada Fleckenstein; two sons, George Harold Fleckenstein and John Arthur Fleckenstein, both of Portland; and four daughters, Lois Ellen Galvin and Mrs. Ruth E. Hooper, both of Portland; Mrs. Ina Grace Koch, Canby, and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Leudke, Appleton, Wisc.

Information gleaned from an old file of obituaries cut from newspapers from the 1950's. Source newspapers are unknown.
