James Herman Richardson
Born: 03/14/1877 James had two siblings; older sister, Alice M Richardson, and younger sister, Eugenia Hattie Richardson. Both siblings remained in ME. James married first Blanche N. Johnson on 02/16/1905 in Winslow, Kennebec County, ME. They had one child; Dorothy Blanche Richardson who was born 03/01/1906 in Kennebec County, ME, and remained in ME. James and Blanche divorced on 06/27/1907 in ME. The 1910 Census lists James as living on China Road in Kennebec County, ME. His occupation was "Rail Road Conductor". James married second Minnie Marrietta Adams on 09/15/1912 in Vassalboro, Kennebec Co., Maine. They had 4 children: Robert, Marjorie, Eleanor, and Gail. James and Minnie moved to Cashmere, WA, in mid 1920s to work in the orchards, then onto Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon about 1930. In Cashmere/Wapato, WA, Minnie left James, and married? another man. Throughout his life, James remained friends with his second wife. Minnie (Adams > Richardson > Pollow) and her second husband, Carl Pollow, would regularily visit James' home to play cards. James died 09/21/1960 in Portland, Multnomah Co., OR. He is buried close to Minnie, and their son Gail, in the Columbian Cemetery.
